I had the pleasure to participate in an internship in the most important news network of Latin America, CNN en Español in Atlanta. I always watch their programming because they are always innovative, original and objective; it has all the characteristics needed for an ethical journalism. I am a journalism student at La Universidad del Zulia (Maracaibo – Venezuela) and this is the kind of journalism that I would like to develop in my future profession.

I had valuable meetings with various professionals, whom were related to my career not only at the prestigious University of Florida, in Gainesville, Florida, one of the best in the country for journalism, but directly with staff writers and sports editors from the best newspapers in the  State of Georgia.

I visited wonderful sites of interest like the Georgia Aquarium, one of the biggest in the world; The World of Coca-Cola; the Atlanta Zoo and different museums. I also went rafting for the first time in South Carolina. In Orlando (Florida) I enjoyed the amazing attractions of Disneyworld, Universal Studios and Sea World. I went to several sports games like: baseball (when the Braves won), hockey and football.

Not only visiting these great places and meeting with great people was special, but also to get to know a culture with deep differences from mine. A highly organized, always progressing and very develop culture, which taught me many values. Their quality of living is an aspiration for all the citizens of the world.

I started a paradigm changing process. I could not believe what was happening to me, I had dreamed a lot about visiting the US, but I really thought it was a utopia. But with my experience I realized that when we truly believe in our dreams, it take us to a next step to achieve them. With perseverance and hard work it is possible to reach them.

I have a new vision now. LatinSuccess created in me the firm belief that nothing is impossible. I gained a new way of thinking and perception of the world. From now on I face life with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. I have accomplished a lot with this opportunity, and I’m glad others students will achieve it as well.

With perseverance everything is possible and in addition to wonderful opportunities such as the ones that LatinSuccess offers, an organization with the noble mission of supporting youth students and professionals in their journey to becoming tomorrow's leaders.

Truly believe in yourself, do not be afraid to aim so high, dream big like a kid, and work hard for the attainment of your purposes in life.
